Anything in our life that we cannot do without pagan related?
by DilemmaGF insince jws are so obsessed to disclose the pagan origin of almost everything that is giving joy, uniting family, healthy etc, i suggest we can list out all the other things that are pagan related or somehow somewhere practiced by pagans here.

I am re-kindling a friendship with a very much asleep disfellowshipped sister so although I have always enjoyed and appreciated your hard work it was mainly for my own benefit.
Now I will be paying much more attention for anything I can use to help her.

by soft+gentle ini have just been going over the candace conti case and it struck me that one of the things i'd like to see come out of this case is that jehovahs witnesses stop involving children in the door to door work.
so what would you say to them to make them re-think this issue..

I studied with one of the anointed who was also a special pioneer but I heard she recently changed her mind about it.
She was very insistent TV was satanic especially soap stars and you wouldn't invite such immoral people into your home physically so why watch what they do on TV.

We got no pudding if we didn't eat our sprouts.
I mashed mine in the gravy but still gagged with every mouthful.
One time when my Gran came round she reminded my dad that he didn't like them as a kid and he wasn't forced to eat them so why did he force his own children?
If I got a chance I took them off my plate and gave them to the dog who was always under the table hoping for scraps to fall. She took every one but when the table was cleared and the cloth removed it was revealed she hadn't eaten them just chewed them a bit and then spat them out.
Never got told off for that though.

by Amelia Ashton inyesterday i had a real blast from my past turn up un-announced on my doorstep.
she bumped into my daughter (who has rejected me) in sainsbury's, took her to lunch and got my address from her.
she claims she has been searching for me ever since she discovered i was back in the uk.. she is a disfellowshipped sister who was described by one of our elders as a wagon.

She has just e-mailed me and invited me for lunch.
I have made a decision and it is making me a little bit scared but I am going to do it.
I am going to tell her I am "out" and 100% against the book publishing company posing as a religion and claiming to be god's only channel of communication on earth that I once belonged to. No pussyfooting about and sugar coating it and blaming depression etc.
I will tell her I am atheist and I totally believe in evolution.
If she wants to be my friend then it has to be based on honesty and I am not prepared to let her delude herself into believing I am "taking a break" from it all. This is what she said when I told her I would never step inside a KH again.
She may report me and I will be disfellowshipped. So be it.
I am going to show her a copy of The Independant newspaper article and the Watchtower claiming apostates are mentally diseased and how it was me made the statement to the Police. She already knows I am friends with Cantleave and Nugget and they were disfellowshipped for apostasy and I will tell her they are my friends first and foremost over every-one else along with my other apostate friends. If she still wants to be friends with the "new me" I am happy to have her back in my life.
